i have devoted my weekly 120minutes for her despite da fact that i have barely enough time for myself due to my oh-so-tight-that-i-could-barely-breathe schedule.

money is one factor. and to relax is another one. irony right?

for that two hours, i can (temporary) leave my assignments and workloads behind and have fun playing and chatting with her in broken chinese, it’s SHE, NOT me okie!

and one great finding after that first two hours, kiddo’s NOT that scary after all. walao, i sounded like im well prepared to be a mami liddat choin Choi CHOI!

and one more thing, she can now pronounce lao shi  (老师) instead of lao sek (老色)! which’s good. lao sek sounds like a pedophilia seimou

I work at a hair salon, and every Saturday this man brings his wife in to get her hair washed and blow dried. She had a stroke and cannot walk or talk, he also puts her lipstick and blush on for her every morning. They have been together for over 50 years. via LGMH

They met 2 years ago when they came to live in the Nursing home, and today they shared their first kiss. A room full of 70+ year old people clapped. I am battling cancer. I was transferred to an out-of-state hospital for a liver resection. When I woke, I found my fiance beside me, 17 hours from home. My dad has a job that requires him to do quite a bit of travelling. Every time he goes away, no matter how short the trip, he hides a card for my mom somewhere in the house. She always finds it with a picture, a quote, or a message telling her how much he misses her. They’ve been married 25 years. My parents enduring love and romance GMH.

I work in an ICU, and yesterday while on shift I noticed that the same elderly man had been sleeping in the waiting room for four days. I asked him why he didn’t go home for a sleep. Turns out he is the husband of a woman in isolation on the ward. In his words “We’ve been married 65 years, I couldn’t sleep without her there anyway.” GMH

Last summer, I went to Iowa for a week to visit my friends grandparents with her. One night I was walking up the stairs to go to sleep and I heard her grandpa’s voice. I asked why he was up so late, and she responded “My grandpa still reads to my grandma at night.” Their love GMH.
