Von’S Burfdae

Category : Friends & Kin, Meet & Match, Point & Shoot

April was a berry berry hectic month for all of us. thesis, finals (a very last finals of our uni’s life woohoo!) and presentation haunted us from the beginning of the month till 28th which our presentation was held. so bloody glad that IT’S ALL O.V.E.R now! *bounce around the room* *shake butt* can you feel the joyous ant? XD

didn’t really celebrated my TGPWO (Thanks God Presentation Was Over). so on the 30th, a bunch of us celebrated Von’s burfdae. the last burfdae celebration we had for this woman. in Bint-ulu.

3 tables were joined to accommodate 15 of us.

oh the woman in yellow on the right is the burfdae gal :)

hallo! we are Malaysian F4 which stands for female 4. not the Taiwan’s, with f-cup one :(

and our specialties are off key WTF

a not so complete qun ka fok

burfdae gal’s bf, jiu, in action.

earlier on, we gals are fooling and camwhoring with the snoker stick (or whatever u call it). then the boss came over and told Theng, “eh you all donno how to play better don’t touch okie!” (translated directly from Chinese). we thought he’s joking and trying to tackle Theng haha manatau he answered seriously, “wo bu shi kai wan xiao de!” (i’m not joking!) we were all like O.O WHAT THE EFF? is this the way to treat your customers huh! we paid for it okie u cocky butthead! so furious dot com dot net dot you. luckily our guys saved our faces cos we are really a bunch of bimbo phew!

while waiting for our food to be served, we adjoined to the mini stage for camwhoring XD

i lurve my calf here but not my thigh!

the start of the night :D

my chicken chop @ RM14. the portion’s so pathetically small. as if we have bird’s appetite liddat. we were so famished that we could gulp down an elephant wei

a DIY pressie we had for the gal!

everybuddy’s so engrossed with the video.

except Along at the back. he’s seen texting every second ever since he has got a gf!

the eppie burfdae gal with the choco cake

making a wish

the ritual haha

gotcha XD

a peck on the cheek by the bf. see the gf grinned from ear to ear niao 见牙不见眼

this look berry familiar to me…

wait lemme check ar…

tadaa!

four years ago! we were so young back then! err…i mean u all, i’m still young and pok pook cui XD

the couple behind the DIY project plus the burfdae gal.

my lurvelies <3

speaking of <3 the other day i was chatting with baby, both of us promised not to use emoticon, so before we went to bed (separately la of course what are u thinking huh) i typed ‘less than three’. he replied me with a question mark. haih men…

You’re my biggest fan
You’ll follow me until i love you
Papa-paparazzi
XD

hope u had a great day woman!

a obligatory qun ka fok to end this post.
apparently some of the guys at the back kena blocked by the ladies in front nyek nyek

actually my mood changed from hippy at the beginning to gloomy by the time i click the publish button. something academical thingy is bothering me now. i need a warmth and tight huggie, but he can’t give me that now because he’s not by my side. i donno how people survive LDR lo…i guess i’m a more realistic people

Brinjal!

becos it was one of those day that i felt like dressing up.

i bought this pair of leggings via online boutique last year. never once i wore it out cos i was scare that skeptical bint-ulu people would judge me :(.

but heck, it’s my last few months here and i couldn’t care more!

and i just realise that i forgot to backup my fonts before formatting lappie!!! ohmaifkinggawd, it’s a collection over da years wei T_____T le sigh

Mooncake Festival 2009 (4)

partners in crime

see! Jiu, Kiki, Von , Yeing, Jackson beamed like 5 yo kiddoes who just got lollipop! haha we were veli eppie with our loots wei. managed to get everything gaodim in less than one hour *pat all da backs* wtf

total damage was around 350buck.

while we were shopping, loong & siva were buying charcoal in Tg. Batu and book a turf. early bird get da strategic spot ;)

Mooncake Festival 2009 (5)

Mooncake Festival 2009 (12)

okie done with fooling around, it’s time to show off our wifey talents

errr…Jiu will be a good househubbie…

Mooncake Festival 2009 (13)

balls and sausages

we didn’t buy chicken wings this time due to

1. we don’t have da time to go and buy chicken wings and clean them and marinate them.

or in another word, we were

2. l.a.z.y :P

Mooncake Festival 2009 (14)

camwhored with balls and sausages

i didn’t just makan all da time, i did help okie!

Mooncake Festival 2009 (15)

hard at work

Mooncake Festival 2009 (11)

got sick of balls niao so i camwhored with lanterns.

speaking of lanterns hor, walao kids nowadays veli lucky le… lanterns patern patern one. with battery and bling bling one…we prefer da old school ones though cos they are cheaper and i was tulan that we need to fork out 50cent for each stick! i thought da lantern and stick come together one! bloody hell

and we had difficulties in finding candles. those short ones to lit da lanterns *points up*, not candlelight dinner’s candle. apparently everybuddy are into electronic lantern these days :(

Mooncake Festival 2009 (16)

our territory
Mooncake Festival 2009 (17)
swaying lanterns

Mooncake Festival 2009 (19)

we strolled around as we were so stuffed. da crowd wasn’t as spectacular as four years back which was our first time celebrating mooncake festival away from home. we were so surprised to see da continual bustle crowd at Tg Batu. i swear all da chinese Bint-uluian gathered at this beach. this didn’t happen this year :( i blame it on Sibu’s Lantern Festival lo. all flocked to Sibu niao :( :( :(

we then sat on stairs observing a group of kiddoes igniting some donnowhatleaves and starting a fire…as usual i flashed out my trusty Joe to snap them in action…and when i try to look at da pics…to my horror…

Mooncake Festival 2009 (20)

some whitish phantom shadow was floating in da air!

Mooncake Festival 2009 (21)

da next pics has two! seimou :S

but im 99.99999% sure that they are not da thing u are thinking. cos when i flick my Joe around, those whitish thingy sway along too =.= must be some kinda reflection or whatever…don sked okie! *pat u on your back*

DSCN9318

kampung

visited two (typical) kampungs in two days, kg. asyakirin & kg. jepak (which i had nightmare finding decent toilets :S ).

it was a nice experience (minus da toilet finding part) as it’s my very first (and last) time went visiting with muslims friends.

we just walked in random houses with open door. and they welcomed us with wide grins.

try to this during cny, u will kena broom out lo…

DSCN9332

we visited 20 families in two days. quite productive eh?

and had too muchy kuih lapis till i wanna puke seimou =.=

haih, holiday ends soon, so i shall embrace da last day with slacking :D like rolling here and there ala shinchan’s style (to pay tribute to Yoshito Usui :( )

Ruby Restaurant, Sibu

Category : Meet & Match, Nom & Gulp

ruby

forgotten to take a pic of da jiupai, so i filch this pic from Clare’s.

i have heard so muchy of this restaurant from STP and some other Sibu bloggers. and yesterday i finally had a chance to sample da food myself (thanks to STP!).

instead of me drooling over others’ pics, today im gonna make u guys drool *hand u tissue*

DSCN7793

one of da Sarawak’s budaya

1 FooChow Fried Mee

FooChow Fried Mee

it tasted like DaiLokMin in Peninsular, just that Sibu’s is lighter in color and da mee is skinnier

2 Cangkuk Manis with Eggie

(blurry) Cangkuk Manis with Eggie

campus’s eateries usually cook it with pumpkin and lemak (read: fat fat fat) which i <3 so muchy

3 Midin

Fried Midin with Rice Wine (i think)

veggie we used to order whenever we dine out in Bint-ulu. somehow we got bored of it already that we switched to baby kailan now.

4 Lamb with Mayo

Lamb with Mayo

u don’t really taste da sou mei in this dish. im most afraid of weird tang of lamb and beef! da lemony mayo gravy was really appetising. no, it didn’t manage to stimulate me to order another bowl of rice.

5 Sambal Fish

Sambal Fish

da sambal is yummo! not too spicy not too mild. and da fish is Ikan Bawal Putih (correct me if im wrong)

6 Butter Scotch Prawns

Butter Scotch Prawns

which reminded me of Gardenia! hahaha…i found someonetwo who lurve Gardenia like i do hahaha and they are SARAWAKIAN *cough* Louis J *cough* Richard *cough*. who say Sarawakian doesn’t likey Gardenia ar?

okie, back to da dish. da creamy gravy was very nice too, goes well with rice and mee. but i thought da batter of prawns was a tad thick.

we ordered Sea Cucumber Soup too (which i conveniently forgot to snap as i was busy digging in. ooopps!). there’s really generous amount of sea cucumber in it. but i thought da vinegar taste was a tad overpowering to my liking.

7 Weng Pin

a new friend i made that night

8 Aftermath

aftermath.

which cost 130buck. it was okie i think with seven dishes plus rice plus drink.

and last but not least,

QunKaFok

Front row: Annant|Mrs Wee|Mr Arthur (well-known as STP in blogosphere)|Mr Eng (Penangite)

Back row: Mr Louis J|Mr Richard|Weng Pin

it was a great meet up with STP and gang. no, we don’t have any generation gap whatsoever, i manage to chip in quite well, in case u are wondering la.

it was funny to see them waited patiently (on da surface la, boiling inside, maybe) for me to snap, im da only one snapping (STP been there like 4325432534 times, he didn’t bother to snap niao), typical blogger i am, thanks for bearing with me wei :P

i actually felt awkward to be introduced as blogger. i donno, just somehow, weird. :S

and for da 3524813257832 times,im PURE Chinese!!! i was dubbed Iban, Kadazan, Malay more often ever since i came back from Sabah *bawl*
