I work at a hair salon, and every Saturday this man brings his wife in to get her hair washed and blow dried. She had a stroke and cannot walk or talk, he also puts her lipstick and blush on for her every morning. They have been together for over 50 years. via LGMH

I work in aged care, and every day at morning tea time, 2 residents sit together and share a slice of cake. They met 2 years ago when they came to live in the Nursing home, and today they shared their first kiss. A room full of 70+ year old people clapped. I am battling cancer. I was transferred to an out-of-state hospital for a liver resection. When I woke, I found my fiance beside me, 17 hours from home. My boyfriend said “I wrote it last Sunday and I’ve been waiting all week for you to turn it on.” He knows I’m struggling with precalc and he can’t help me, but his love and support make me want to do my best. My dad has a job that requires him to do quite a bit of travelling. Every time he goes away, no matter how short the trip, he hides a card for my mom somewhere in the house. She always finds it with a picture, a quote, or a message telling her how much he misses her. They’ve been married 25 years. My parents enduring love and romance GMH.

I work in an ICU, and yesterday while on shift I noticed that the same elderly man had been sleeping in the waiting room for four days. I asked him why he didn’t go home for a sleep. Turns out he is the husband of a woman in isolation on the ward. In his words “We’ve been married 65 years, I couldn’t sleep without her there anyway.” GMH

Last summer, I went to Iowa for a week to visit my friends grandparents with her. One night I was walking up the stairs to go to sleep and I heard her grandpa’s voice. I asked why he was up so late, and she responded “My grandpa still reads to my grandma at night.” Their love GMH.
