09.Nov.2009 Wild Man of Borneo@Sepilok, Sandakan
during my internship in sandakan (circa may which was six months ago =.=), hommie brought us out for a nature-lurving trip together with some other colleagues one fine day (labour day). we beamed and hopped around da house when she told us da night before. we so wanted to visit our ancestors as it’s one of da must-visit tourist spot in sandakan. and we need someone to bring us there cos we were practically immobilized without chauffeur
no, we weren’t wild men. we are women wtf
kiki, we were fair and lurvely back then, now… T__________T *glare at self in disgust*
i brought lulu out with me <3 (i name my gadgets and accessories one)
it’s a keychain-turned-necklace
this was our first time seeing police in sandakan. must snap.
upon reaching sepilok, there’s a roundabout with an orangutan directing u da way…
i tell u ar, roundabouts are all over sabah. and every roundabout is beautifully decorated one like this one *points up*
and after 1.5h, we reached da destination. yala, we were staying that out of town…
no, there will be no lenglui to greet u one.
this sepilok orang utan sanctuary is established in 1964 to rehabilitate orphaned baby orang utans and return them to the wild when they are fit enough.
lust greenery
which is good for our eyes
tandas with cool murals (or izzit graffiti?)
qunkafok! eh not really, kak godex was holding camera
entrance fees of rm5 for mykad holders and rm30 for foreigners!
and rm10 is charged per camera. that’s why i hid Josh in my bag (da pic above was snapped using kiki’s camera)
and whipped him out once i stepped out from da counter
blue sky + cotton candy cloud, me <3
i was taken aback to see sucha hugee crowd! these angmohs are suagu wei
they were snapping nonstop and i donno why cos i didn’t see any orang utan
then i followed da direction of their lens, and there he was! this lil’ brownish furry ball was hanging himself up there!
and he greeted us with his asshole, what a boorish orang!
awww…so cutie
he’s looking at me, i must be beautiful that day WTF

then he went back to where he belongs.
didn’t really snapped muchy that day, so lemme ripped some snapshots off da web

wah bery flexibo!

i feel like keeping her as pet wei! so kiut!!!

saggy nipple hahahaha
then it’s feeding time.
orang utans are fed twice a day, 10am and 3pm, so if u were to visit, make sure u get ur butt there in time.

greedy lil’ thing!
orangey butterfly rested on his hat and it attracted many shutterbugs, everybuddy started shooting his head haha
crowd on my left and right. craziness.
it was a scorching hot day
we entertained ourselves while waiting for colleagues.
a kiut sign

then we adjourned to this information centre to enjoy aircond
hock, see u are there, so kiut right! *cubit*
who is better in grimacing?
do u know that orang utans (scientifically known as Pongo pygmaeus) are found to be 96.4% similar to our (Homo sapiens sapiens) genes. comparing da skulls above, theirs’ bigger and their farings’ muchy longer and sharper like keongxi (僵尸) le
ok. i think this post is getting long winded niao, i shall end it with
