forgotten to take a pic of da jiupai, so i filch this pic from Clare’s.
i have heard so muchy of this restaurant from STP and some other Sibu bloggers. and yesterday i finally had a chance to sample da food myself (thanks to STP!).
instead of me drooling over others’ pics, today im gonna make u guys drool *hand u tissue*
one of da Sarawak’s budaya
FooChow Fried Mee
it tasted like DaiLokMin in Peninsular, just that Sibu’s is lighter in color and da mee is skinnier
(blurry) Cangkuk Manis with Eggie
campus’s eateries usually cook it with pumpkin and lemak (read: fat fat fat) which i <3 so muchy
Fried Midin with Rice Wine (i think)
veggie we used to order whenever we dine out in Bint-ulu. somehow we got bored of it already that we switched to baby kailan now.
Lamb with Mayo
u don’t really taste da sou mei in this dish. im most afraid of weird tang of lamb and beef! da lemony mayo gravy was really appetising. no, it didn’t manage to stimulate me to order another bowl of rice.
Sambal Fish
da sambal is yummo! not too spicy not too mild. and da fish is Ikan Bawal Putih (correct me if im wrong)
Butter Scotch Prawns
which reminded me of Gardenia! hahaha…i found someonetwo who lurve Gardenia like i do hahaha and they are SARAWAKIAN *cough* Louis J *cough* Richard *cough*. who say Sarawakian doesn’t likey Gardenia ar?
okie, back to da dish. da creamy gravy was very nice too, goes well with rice and mee. but i thought da batter of prawns was a tad thick.
we ordered Sea Cucumber Soup too (which i conveniently forgot to snap as i was busy digging in. ooopps!). there’s really generous amount of sea cucumber in it. but i thought da vinegar taste was a tad overpowering to my liking.
a new friend i made that night
aftermath.
which cost 130buck. it was okie i think with seven dishes plus rice plus drink.
and last but not least,
QunKaFok

it was a great meet up with STP and gang. no, we don’t have any generation gap whatsoever, i manage to chip in quite well, in case u are wondering la.
it was funny to see them waited patiently (on da surface la, boiling inside, maybe) for me to snap, im da only one snapping (STP been there like 4325432534 times, he didn’t bother to snap niao), typical blogger i am, thanks for bearing with me wei
i actually felt awkward to be introduced as blogger. i donno, just somehow, weird. :S
and for da 3524813257832 times,im PURE Chinese!!! i was dubbed Iban, Kadazan, Malay more often ever since i came back from Sabah *bawl*
